Equipment
- 1 Skillet/pan
- 2 shallow dishes for breading the chicken
- 1 bowl
- 1 Tongs or a slotted spatula
- 1 Paper towel-lined plate for draining the excess oil
Ingredients
- 1 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon garlic
- 1 teaspoon ginger
- 1½ teaspoon oregano Optional
- 1 teaspoon salt As per taste
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 egg
- 1 cup cornflex
- ½ cup vegetable oil
- 2 burger buns
- 2 lettuce leaves
- 2 slice tomato
- 2 slice Onion
- Mayonnaise
- Ketchup or other sauce as per choice
- 1 cup butter milk or milk
Instructions
- Cut chicken breast in half lengthwise to make 2 thin chicken cutlets.
- In a bowl mix together the garlic , ginger, oregano , salt, and black pepper, milk and egg.
- Pour chicken cutlets in the mixture bowl for marination. Cover the bowl and keep in refrigerator for one hour.
- In a shallow dish mix crushed cornflakes ,flour ,oregano and black pepper.
- Press each marinated cutlet into the flour mixture, making sure to coat both sides well.
- Pour coated cutlet again in marination bowl. Then press again into flour mixture. This double coating will make the cutlet very crispy.
- In a pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
- Once the oil is hot, add the double coated chicken cutlets to the pan in a single layer. Sallow fry (not deep fry) .Cook for 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crispy.
- Use a slotted spatula to transfer the cooked chicken cutlets to a paper towel-lined plate to drain any excess oil.
- While the chicken is resting, assemble the burgers. Toast the buns if desired.
- Spread a generous amount of mayonnaise and ketchup on the bottom half of each bun.

- Add a slice of cheese on top of the chicken.
- Top with the other half of the bun and serve.
